This year we have made some changes to the DJ booth and the Rink. We have asked our skaters to use the Dance areas inside the main rink area for Dancing on Foot and Dancing on Skates.

This keeps the main rink open for skating and relieves the dangerous congestion that had formed in the past several years in the area between the booth and the path west of the Circle.

Skaters, your response has been wonderful!

Doing things this way, we have room to skate around the Circle
and room for the dancers, too.

This weekend
the East 72nd Street entrance to Central park
will be completely closed down
due to the Pope's visit.

Our friends in the Central Park Conservancy suggest that we enter the park either at 59th Street
or enter from the West side.

Because of traffic congestion and lack of Parking
we have been advised that unless you are driving the Pope mobile, you should leave your car home and use public transportation.
