Looking for a Home—
This year the CPDSA is facing a difficult situation. We have lost our long time storage space in the park, due to building renovations. We no longer have a space inside the park where we can keep our audio gear, our infrastructure and — most important — a place where we can charge the heavy duty auto batteries we use to power the music.
The Conservancy has promised us some small relief with a small “Job Box” where the heaviest and least valuable gear can be kept in the park.That box was delivered just before Memorial Day weekend. We haven’t been able to use it yet, but we are very hopeful. Any space in the park has got to be better than trucking everything from our storage room in Midtown to the Tavern on the Green parking lot and then unloading it onto hand trucks and pushing it the last few hundred yards down to the Skate Circle.
