A Difficult Summer—
This summer has been difficult for the Skate Circle. We have suffered uncertainty and disruption after losing our storage space in the park; which makes it a great deal more difficult for us to get our sound equipment into and out of the park every day we skate. Still, with perseverance and a good deal of hard work and sacrifice from our crew of volunteers, we have brought a fabulous string of DJs playing great music for skating.
Days when rain is predicted present a tricky conundrum. It is not the same equation it was when we could cover up and make a dash for the Bandshell in a downpour. Now, we have to contact our transporter and try to change our arranged time, pack up and go three times the distance — uphill all the way — to meet him at Tavern on the Green parking lot.
